昨天要申請UKvisa的時候才發現visa4UK網站上,"所在地"沒有比利時的選項
寄信去大使館問過之後今天馬上就得到回應
看來以後要在比利時辦英簽不可能早上辦下午拿了...@@

From 1 April 2008, all United Kingdom Visa applications in Belgium will be processed by the British Embassy in Paris under a new “Hub and Spoke” arrangement.

Applicants will continue to make their applications on-line (see below) and arrange an appointment at the British Embassy in Brussels to deposit the paper copy of their application form, passport, supporting documents, to pay the appropriate fee and to have their fingerscans taken. But as from 31 March, we will forward applications to UK Entry Clearance Officers at the British Consulate General in Paris. Once a decision has been taken on whether a visa should be issued, the applicant's passport and documents will be returned to the British Embassy in Brussels for collection by the applicant.

The expected processing time between an applicant submitting their application at the British Embassy in Brussels and being able to collect their passport and documents will be five working days in most cases. If an applicant needs to be interviewed, arrangements will be made for them to return to the British Embassy in Brussels. Interviews will be arranged as quickly as possible, but certainly within 10 working days. Applicants will not be required to travel to the UK Visa Application Centres in France.

Applicants are encouraged to make their applications well in advance of any planned journey to the United Kingdom. An application can be accepted up to three months in advance of the proposed date of travel.

Travellers who require a visa to enter the United Kingdom must submit all applications for visa via the internet using the Visa4UK on-line application service which can be found on our Embassy website. Applicants will at the same time need to pre-book an appointment at the Embassy on-line to present their application.

There will be no changes to the way applications for Commonwealth or United Kingdom Dependant Territories are processed.


The Visa Section of the British Embassy in Brussels will close from 20 – 28 March to allow for the change in application systems. The online application facility will reopen on the 26 March to allow applicants to make online applications and book appointments to attend the Visa Section from 31 March.
